When in Wales

When in Wales

Sometimes it’s the places closest to home that surprise you and give the best unexpected adventures. Who knew there were so many different activities you could fit into a summer bank holiday road trip to Wales!

Activity #1 – Zip lining at Zip World

There is something good about throwing yourself off a mountainside knowing you are in safe hands and all kitted out, even though all your instincts are saying it is a bad idea. At Zip World’s Slate Caverns location you can dangle over the hills and zip line down Titan, a four person route with three separate lines. Adrenaline soon kicks in and the views are great!

Activity #2 – Visiting Llandudno beach

Who doesn’t love the British seaside!! Llandudno is Wales’ biggest seaside resort and stone skimming heaven. North shore’s pebble beach is so pretty in the sun, and the walk along the pier is filled with doughnuts, hook-a-duck, ice-cream and seagulls everywhere. Staying at The Links Hotel close by was a great idea as the pub food was amazing!

Activity #3 – Climbing Snowdon

Snowdonia National Park is a walker’s paradise. Full of pretty scenery, greenery and hills there are walks suited for everyone. The Llanberis path to the top of Snowdon is the nine mile long tourist route which has an average completion time of 6 hours, but you can’t quite see how when you see the steepness at the start and the top. White-out or no white-out you feel great but exhausted after finishing the climb!

Safe to say a huge pizza and a long sleep was much needed after spending the weekend outdoors.
